The EHAG Emporium Halloween Ghoulaway

Trick or treat!  Tell us your best trick, and you might win a treat from one of the artists of the Eclectic Halloween Artists Guild.  We're hosting our Halloween Ghoulaway to keep you happily haunted until this month's EHAG Emporium's gates creak open on October 31st.  Enter and you could win one of these spooktacular creations.

To enter, leave a comment telling us your best Halloween trick. Then leave your name and a way of contacting you - email or your blog through which you are reachable.

On October 30th, at 9 PM EST, the skeletal hand will pluck six names from the cauldron and announce the winners right here.  You could be the recipient of one of the pieces below.  Sadly, if you neglected to leave contact information or cannot be reached, the hand will pluck another name from the cauldron.

These are just a tantalizing taste of the bewitching pieces from the artists of EHAG.  New works will be revealed on October 31st, right here at the October EHAG Emporium.

To leave a comment, go to the bottom of this post, below all the photos.  You will see something that says xx Comments  (however many comments are already there).  Click that.  A comment box will appear below the other comments.  Write your comment, choose your identity, and submit.

Beware.  A BlogGoblin haunts this blog.  If you've tried and tried, but the BlogGoblin doesn't allow you to leave your comment, email it to EHAGEmporium@gmail.com by October 29th, and your kindly BlogMistress will enter your name for you.

(As for spammers who leave comments, the kindly BlogMistress will cheerfully put a curse on you.)

  2. My son in law dressing as Michael Myers from the movie Halloween. On Halloween night he stands in the shadows of the porch and waits.... When the kids come up to the porch, He will walk out to scare them.. They all run away screaming!! lol He only does this to the older kids.. They all love it!! Will sit out on our porch steps to pass out candy. The ones that run away most likely never come back for candy.. We have heard the next Halloween someone say, " That is the house Michael Myers was at last year!" That is his clue to start walking out by the house again!

  3. I love Halloween!! I decorate the house with all my Halloween ornaments - also have ceramic decorations that my mother made in the 70's. My cat, Ruby, who has now passed away, used to sit in the bay window with a little witch hat on and greet the trick or treaters - the little kids loved it!!!

  4. Hmmmm, best Halloween trick, I must confess I dont really have any tricks, just love decorating the house and dressing like a witch (my favorite costume) and having fun with family and friends. and if I can get my hands on some dry ice, well, I fill my cauldron and double double toil and trouble. What? its just a little hocus pocus, right? wynteraven@gmail.com

  5. Halloween or Samhain is one of my favorite holidays. I love to trick friends or loved ones. Each year is different, one year it was fake arms everyone hanging out of vehicles, doors windows etc. Another year it was I turned everyones yard into graveyards with dirt and foam stones. Another year I turned several friends cars into mummies. I love your site and wish you had an event closer to me.

  6. We used to put one of those battery-operated "screaming" door mats on the path up to our front door and cover it with leaves. Kids would step on it (not seeing it) and it would SCREAM and so would they! It was so much fun watching them! (we did warn the parents with small children). Halloween is my ALL TIME FAVE holiday!
