“The Night Parade” 

A collection of whimsical characters by Jackie Hay

 

On a full-moon night, precisely at midnight- the goblins and mushrooms of the forest come out to collect the stardust and moon rocks that litter the ground.  They parade about the forest floor, dancing and singing in the glowing space lights. Oh, what a magical night!

"Frankengourd"

Frankengourd is a one-of-a-kind, hand sculpted creation. Made from multiple types of polymer clay. He is hand painted with acrylic paints and sealed. He has hand painted "pumpkin guts" coming from his mouth with resin "drool" accents. He is attached to a hand painted "stitched" wood pedestal stand. His stem is both polymer clay and wire. He has a color changing light that is permanently attached and is remote controlled. 

He measures 15.25 inches tall.

As the Wheel of the Year continues to spin, our thoughts turn to the Fall, where the Autumn People Dwell. Halloween is never too far from our minds as we seek comfort in the colors of burnt orange and black.

My offering for this month’s eHAG theme of “Creepy Cats” is this one of a kind black and fray linen dress. It’s over sized with black and white drawstrings at the neck, sleeves and along the side hems at the bottom.

It is shredded and torn, stitched and restitched to remind us of how feral a cat can be- I created this using black linen fabric and a woven linen that is black and taupe- the edges gray showing both colors. I free cut and appliquéd a dancing black cat on the front. There are giant pockets that are deep and full of magic!

It’s easy to wear and measures 70” wide, high at center front (39” from shoulder to hem) and low on the side bottom hem (48”) so it works for all sizes and heights.

Perfect to wear when going about your witchy business as you plan on this season’s spookiness!

"Creature of the Night...Light"

This one of a kind creepsake has been created from a found glass and polyresin decorative container. The top of the lamp has a creepy cat that has been hand sculpted out of paper clay. A hole has been drilled in the bottom of the lamp to fit a plug-in light that has the on/off switch on the cord; it fits a small led bulb that is included. The light can easily be removed and the glass flipped around to also use as a decorative storage container.

"When Black Cats are Seen..."

 This is a one of a kind, hand sculpted luminary creation. Featuring my new hand painted method for making eyes. 

Both the pumpkin and cat are sculpted from polymer clay. The pumpkin lid is paper mache and polymer clay with a wrapped wired stem. All meticulously hand painted and sealed. The pumpkin guts are hand painted. They eyes, mouth, and pumpkin guts are finished with resin. The piece stands on a hand painted/weathered wood pedestal base. 

There are two, permanently installed, rechargeable led tea lights in the back.
