Moonlit Apothecary

Michele Lynch

Euphemia Thornewood was not born old — she simply stayed long enough for the moon to carve wisdom into her bones. For over a century, she has walked the edge of the forest where the veil thins and the owls speak plainly.

Her hat — wide-brimmed and velvet black with a silver star that catches the moonlight— is lined with tiny phials of moon-steeped tinctures. Crystals glint from the brim like captured constellations. Each stone is chosen under a different full moon. Each potion holds a promise: protection, remembrance, gentle vengeance, forgotten courage.

They call her when fevers burn too bright or grief grows too heavy. She never asks for coin. Only stories. A lock of hair. A whispered regret. Payment enough for a woman who trades in what cannot be weighed.

 Some say it is medicine.

Some say it is magic.

 Euphemia knows it is both.

She is one of a kind, hand sculpted from polymer and epoxy clays, painted in layers of acrylics and oil paints on a wood slice from her beloved forest and then sealed. There is a certificate of authenticity on the back along with a hanger.

Approximately 8 x 5 3/4”

$225 which includes domestic shipping

LUNA TIC

Luna Tic is a one of a kind art doll. She is constructed from cotton fabric, needle sculpted, then hand painted and stained to give her a spooky, alluring charm! She is a witch from long ago that has long turned into a skeleton. On this cool, crisp night, she and her pet owl Hoot, are making a journey to the moon to collect rare stardust. Hoot the owl, is needle felted and hand beaded, he makes a perfect companion for Luna! The crescent moon makes a wonderful  resting place for Luna Tic to stop, sit, and admire her little jars of sparkling stardust. (The moon is also handmade from fabric, needle sculpted and hand painted. I made it so it can be removed from the star shaped, wooden spindle base so storing her is made easier.

All of my creations include a portrait, and an original poem or story.

The overall height of the piece is approximately 21" x 18" wide
$489 which includes shipping. I also offer layaway. I will send an invoice via paypal
