Will-O-Wisp

“When the wild wind blows and the mists begin to roll,

The Will-O-Wisp comes floating o’er the forest floor.”

My concept of the charming Will-O-Wisp insisted on taking his eyeball companion out for a stroll. Oh well, who am I to argue with an enigma?  They stand 6 1/2” tall to top of head with a 7” arm span. The eyeball reaches 10 1/2”. This is a one-of-a-kind original Mixed Media creation of Cernit polymer clay and spun cotton over a wire armature.

 

As is usual, the translucent nature of Cernit and the extra amount of detail I put into my work cannot be done justice by one photo. I will post more views showing various angles and details of this piece on my facebook and instagram  pages @ Sculpture by Rhonda Whitledge
