The Will-O-Wisp comes floating o’er the forest floor.”

My concept of the charming Will-O-Wisp insisted on taking his eyeball companion out for a stroll. Oh well, who am I to argue with an enigma?  They stand 6 1/2” tall to top of head with a 7” arm span. The eyeball reaches 10 1/2”. This is a one-of-a-kind original Mixed Media creation of Cernit polymer clay and spun cotton over a wire armature.

 

As is usual, the translucent nature of Cernit and the extra amount of detail I put into my work cannot be done justice by one photo. I will post more views showing various angles and details of this piece on my facebook and instagram  pages @ Sculpture by Rhonda Whitledge

In a hollowed out pumpkin vignette display, a witch visits her family's graveyard and offers purple flowers and mixes up a good tidings spell in her cauldron. The gravestones feature cutouts that illuminate and the cauldron top also lights up all from an incorporated fairy light strand. And I hand painted and airbrushed the trees in the backdrop for a spooky feel.

Mungus Fungus with “Jack-a-Corns”

It’s a little known fact that on Halloween, an enchantment

 spreads over the forest floor like a mist and the small 

creatures transform. The mushrooms, for instance,

 sprout legs, arms and faces and morph into fun-guys. 

They all gather under the Elder Oak where her acorn 

babies have, just for one night, magically changed into 

“Jack-A-Corns”! 

The small creatures of the forest pick their favorite 

Jack-A-Corn to light their way as they wander the underbrush singing ancient tunes and searching for treats and opportunities to trick unsuspecting trespassers to the forest on this enchanted Hallows Eve!  Mungus stands 7”tall base 

to spore plume. Handsculpted in Cernit polymer clay.
