"Looky Lu"

She always hated her name, though she does admit that they must have known something in advance.

She was THAT child witch... the nosey one always peeking. She is hunched over now, from years of stooping out of the way and just out of sight. 

Looky Lu is made from paper clay, fabric, a scrap of antique trim, and a very old button. She has glass bead eyes and hair of flax. She carries a twiggy-looking basket filled with preserved Sweet Annie and a couple of strawflowers. She is 10 inches tall and has lost some height through the years. She can sit or hang.

Looky Lu will come signed and dated.

“The Ghastly Ghost of a Long-Gone Gentleman”

The Ghastly Ghost of a Long-Gone Gentleman depicts a weathered man who stares blindly at us from the past with vacant eyes. The post-civil war era photograph used in this piece is from some where around the 1870's -1890's. The original antique photograph is set in an antique beveled glass bezel that has then been attached to a gold tone pendant that simulates the look of antique lace. It all hangs from a double strand of chain. He will certainly garner looks and spark conversation wherever he is worn!

The Crone asked the moon to send her true love, ever since she was a young maiden. There were men that turned her eye...and one in particular, stole her heart. Alas, but  wasn't to be. So, she turned to Mother Earth and spent her days gathering herbs amd mosses for medicine.She enjoyed making a cozy wee cottage in the meadows. She loved her village and her village loved her. It took her all these years to realize that the Moon answered her wish.

This piece is made of Paperclay. Her dress is made of cotton. She has flax hair and holds a crescent moon of Labradorite ( protection)
