ReplyDelete(not that I feared but someone else..ohh dear) I have ALWAYS LOVED Halloween and when I was a teenager I would dress up and answer the door to give out treats. ONe year I dressed up as a witch...I made the black dress...the netting apron...wild hair...and green makeup and the pointed hat...well all was going spooky good until the door bell rang and when I opened the door there stood the sweetest lil angel I had ever seen...he took one look at me and the next thing I know his dad is trying to catch up with him running down the street...funny but sad and my favorite Halloween memory...isn't that badddd of me..hehehehehehehe!!!

Too cute Suzanne...
My favorite costume had to have been the one I wore to work for "costume day". The day that all the straight guys dread because they had no intention of dressing up but all the females talked them into it. :) I made a dark feather mask that was huge - tall and wide. I used green beetle wings and emu feathers around the eyes, cock feather and peacock feathers. I wore my suit and pretended to be going to a masquerade ball in some major city. I won!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite Halloween costume ever was one my mom made for me. We didn't have much money back then so she turned me into a scarecrow using my dads flannel shirt, hay, a big old hat...twine ..big mens boots and she had a almost clear plastic face mask. I won the spirit of Halloween award that year in school. I was in 4th grade and will never forget it! I was so proud lol
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume is one from the past and that of a gypsy. It was a spectacular costume and such a fun Halloween party I attended.

My favorite costume was a simple one, out of a box, with a plastic mask. I was seven and the costume was Sleeping Beauty. I got to march in the town's Halloween parade and I felt every inch a princess!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! My most memorable Halloween costume was when I went as the Statue of Liberty. I even had the horns on my head for the rays of light...they were about a foot and a half long...plus my 5'10"...that makes for a pretty big Lady Liberty! I even carried the flame and the book. Lots of accessories, but it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower of EHAG!
ReplyDeleteI follow on Facebook too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume would have to be the Vampire Queen. I got myself a vintage goth gown, a velvet cape and the most realistic fangs ever! I couldn't eat for hours for fear that they'd fall out but it was worth it to see the reaction I got! So much fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I'm a follower!
Love the cat. I'm a follower of the blog using Google Reader. My favorite costume is the classic WITCH. My mom made me a witch costume when I was in grade school, and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was a green-faced Witch. I was in 4th grade and got to go to the Halloween shop and pick out a really scary adult Witch Mask. Begging worked. Love this Cat! I'm a follower and a FB follower too! :) Becca
ReplyDeleteGreat brooch!
ReplyDeleteMy fave Halloween costume was the year I went as a Gypsy - very mysterious! Lol!
Oh - plus, I'm a follower, of course!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was the ghost! It was all I had! Now I love painting my face to look like an old crone!!! Well older, I already follow, and I'm a fb follower also!
ReplyDeleteLisa
I love sUz's work and this is precious! My fav Halloween costume was my first store-bought (non hand me down from older sisters) spooky GREEN WITCH with frizzy black hair! I was 5. The world became oh so magical when I put that mask on. I wore it straight thru summer til it mysteriously disappeared (mom remains my prime suspect in this odd disappearance of my alter ego). I'm already a blog and FB follower so throw my name in your cauldorn as many times as you please! Hugs and many blessings, Lisa
ReplyDeleteMy favourite costume was made completely out of black and orange crepe paper and sewn by a very dear great-aunt. The time and place, Pontins 1965.
ReplyDeleteOhh love Suz's pieces!!! My favorite costume was with my hubby, I was Jennie and he was Forrest Gump (The runner and hippy)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful opportunity to have fun and to own a sweet treasure by the talented folks of EHAG! Suzanne's black cat brooch is a puuurfect example! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteFirst fabulous weekly giveaway ideas!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was probably the year I dressed up as a VERY pampered black cat. I had a rhinestone collar and all kinds of cool items.
Halloween is my favorite time of year.
I've been following this blog for some time now...just love it.
ReplyDeleteAlso follow you in facebook as well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck everyone!
My favourite Halloween costume is one that still makes my kids cringe with horror....horror that I am their mom, that is. rushing home late from work on "THE" night, I had no plans to dress up, but the kids, 11 AND 13 had already gone out. With no real plan, I stuck on an old hat, my husband's long johns with a pillow in the belly (it was in my skinny days), an old pair of his boots, blacked out my two front teeth with tape and wore a beard of vaseline and tea leaves. The kids will never forgive me for catching up to them and their friends. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm the winner of the black cat brooch. Sooo cute and Halloweenie.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume was when my husband and I dressed as a team... I am quite a bit taller, and went as the Green Giant, and he (being much shorter) went as the Little Green Sprout. It was bushels of fun :)
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite costume was made by my great grandmother. I adored Holly Hobbie and she made the whole outfit-big bonnet, long sleeved dress and pinafore. My great grandfather bought me some cute little mary janes to wear with it since we couldn't find any boots. I wore that outfit to every event I could since I loved it so much! Thanks for the topic, it was fun reliving the memories!
