Giveaway Goodness!!

The artists of EHAG are kicking off the New Year in style with a *wicked* fun giveaway, which will run for the next two weeks!

Three fabulous prizes are up for grabs, and three lucky winners will be drawn on January 30th (the day before the first Emporium update of 2011!) Here are the goodies: A hauntingly beautiful and sparkly "Curious Eye" Halloween ornament, by Iva Wilcox of Iva's Creations...

A wonderfully whimsical Halloween pumpkin ornie by David Everett of Chicken Lips...

And "Gregory Gourdhead", an amazing original by Laurie Hardin of Monkey Cats Studio - two photos shown here, both on and off his base...

For a chance to win one of these Halloween treasures, leave a comment here, and if you're so inclined, tell us about your own all time favorite Halloween treat or treasure (and please include a way to contact you - blog, email, etc - if we can't reach you, we will have to draw another name).

Thanks for playing, good luck, and Happy 2011 from all the artists of EHAG!

It may be as old as I am, I'm not certain, but it's been around for as long as I can remember.

  19. Thanks for posting this give-a-way. My favorite Halloween treat is a memory and a photo taken of my brothers and I in the 50s as we were preparing to go out trick or treating. We all have masks on and are poking our heads through a shelf (or those old room dividers) we had to put my witch hat on after my head was through the hole. I still have that b/w photo and should scan it to sent to my brothers.

  47. My biggest Halloween treasure came from an old box of stuff nobody wanted when an elderly neighbor died. Her kids put boxes of stuff on the curb for the trash and told neighbors to take what they wanted. I found some vintage handmade Halloween masks from the 1930's including a satin black cat mask with glitter around the eyes. Also a half mask with a veil and some old diecut Halloween decorations -treasured by me for years and part of my yearly display :) -

I can remember one friend in a large paper mache eggplant costume!

  76. Halloween is my all-time favorite holiday. My favorite treasure is probably a memory: the year my 9-year old sister died. I was 10 at the time, and we couldn't trick-or-treat because she was in a wheelchair. So my mother had a huge Halloween party and went ALL OUT with the decorations. Kids were afraid to go to the bathroom because of the giant spider shadow cast on the toilet seat. And in the middle of the party, the doorbell rang. When I answered, there were two 3-foot tall MONSTERS that waddled into the house! Kids were running and screaming in all directions. I grabbed Kathy's wheelchair and was trying to get her to safety. She, though, was always more savvy than I, and she was just laughing. The 'monsters' were a neighbor's parents wearing stockings on their heads, walking on their knees with their legs tucked inside the lets of their pants. Kathy died just before Christmas, but that memory of her laughing while I tried to hide her is one of the many wonderful memories I have.
I'm tempted to think that may be part of the reason I love Halloween so much, but the truth is that Kathy and I always played witches even before she got sick.
Anyway, I LOVE your site, and all the great Halloween treasures you have to share! Thanks.
