  1. When I was a little girl, 7 years old or so, I was given the honor of handing out candy to the TOTers. My mother came to the door with a "ghost" (sheet with holes for eyes) and when I opened the door she "floated" in and scared the hell out of me...... LOLS I love a contest and I love your artists.

  4. When I was a little girl, my mother was telling me about Halloween, about Ghost and witches, and I told her, that I knew where the witches lived, and that I would see them everytime I went to school.... She demanded that I tell her where they lived.. Well, I told her that on my way to school, that I always saw them at the other school, that I past on the way to my school... And that there was gates, and that the witches were out there collecting children everyday, so I would always run past the gate, so they would not get me too.. Well, my mother starting laughing, then she explained to me what a Nun was, True story.... Please enter me in your giveaway!!!!! Billie my9966@yahoo.com

  5. Billie's NUN story above.....TOO FUNNY!!! My mom and I LOVE Halloween and some of my best memories from growing up are the costumes my mom would make for me and sis. One year I was a mouse and my sis was the cheese! We were owls, aliens, you name it. Usually mom would also make our handmade paper mache masks as well. We would get home from school around 3 and put on our costumes and go trick or treating for a few hours. Then home for a quick dinner and then off to the town's parade and hope we'd win a prize! The fire department would give out free donuts, hot dogs and cider. Our town still does Halloween this way!

  7. Wonderful Halloween treats! I don't have a Halloween tale, but now that the foot of snow has melted I can see the ghosts of last years pumpkins. They are rotted and flat as giant pancakes. They are still orange. I'm surprised they retained their color! ;) Please throw my name in the magic hat. Becca

  8. I have been covetting my friend's green designer fairy type dress for at least 15 years...this past fall, now that neither of us is svelte enough to actually wear it to a grown up outing as a real dress, she decided to finally bequeath it to me. I just had to wear it, but where... A little green camo face paint, a bulky sweater to cover my sins, the delicate green fae dress, and voila--I got to be the Fairy Goblin Mother at Halloween! I had a blast with the dress even though it was not with quite the flair I saw myself in it these past 15 years. Never too old LOL :)

  10. I love Halloween, my favorite time of year. My Mom always made our costumes....they were always good ones!! I won several first place trophies at our elementary school Halloween festival. I still have them (little cheap plastic trophies) but were a big deal back then LOL. I would love to win one of these prizes from the talented Artists of EHAG.

  12. Oh please, please do me the kindness of adding me to the drawing. When I was in High School for a couple of Halloweens a few of us met at my friends home and prepared for the kids. Of course we had a spooky Halloween soundtrack playing, and eerie lights out front, Oh, and we all of course dressed up as creepy as we could. But the best part was their stairway was right inside the door, we rigged up a glow in the dark skeleton to a close line and some pulleys, from the top of the stairs to the bottom. Every time we'd open the door for the kiddies, one of us would send it "floating rapidly" down the stairs! The screams were our treats for the night! Though I’m sure many screamed just to thrill us…lol

  13. Oh please add me to the drawing. :) I love Halloween and look forward to fall with great anticipation all year long. Nothing makes me happier than thinking of the sights, sounds and scents of that time of year. The gorgeous reds, yellows and oranges of the leaves turning on the trees, the sounds of walking on the leaves that have fallen and just the way fall smells-there is nothing else like it. Makes me want to start a bonfire right now! :)I start decorating my home and yard in August as I want to get the maximum enjoyment from the holiday-without seeming a bit crazed to the outsiders who don't know me. LOL. And when it is time to put it away it only leads to the hunt for new items for the next year. I have to admit that my love of Halloween has turned into a year round addiction as my love of it has expanded into a home that now has a room entirely devoted to it as my collection has grown (out of control according to my husband.) All I have to do is enter the room and a sense of calm and happiness washes over me.

  15. A few years ago, my friend Janet came over to celebrate Halloween with me and my boyfriend, who dressed like Michael Meyers and chased the trick or treaters with a chainsaw. Like me, she dressed as a witch, and when a little girl also dressed as a witch came trick or treating, we would pay special attention to her. We’d run up to her and say things like, “Where have you been, little sister?” and “Look, Griselda, your replacement has arrived.” One little girl was so pleased, she brought her mother back so she could have her picture taken with us. They were nice enough to give me a copy the next day.
That same year, as the flow of kids receded, the three of us, the chainsaw monster and two witches, decided to do a little trick or treating ourselves. We got to the next block and rang someone’s doorbell. A man answered, and to his kids’ horror, the three of us were at their door. Well, they all started screaming, and we said things like, “We know where you live!” and “We finally found you!” They screamed and screamed and just couldn’t believe that we were there. The man literally fell to the ground rolling with laughter, and said to us, “I just don’t know how I’m going to get them to sleep now!” It was more than hilarious, and we laughed all the way home.

  17. When I was a kid, it was still okay to give out home-made treats, so every year, my 5 siblings and I would be forming popcorn balls, while my mom worked on the next batch.
We had to make about 300 of them, since our house was known for this tradition. Some kids would go home and come back in a different costume. Since we knew them, and were onto their tricks, my mom would ask them the first time how their mom was, and when they came back, she would ask if their mom was still okay. They got another popcorn ball, but she let them know that they weren't fooling anyone.
I would love to be entered in your give-away -Thanks!

  18. I don't have a Halloween tale as it has never been a huge day for me. I am now more than 60 years young and never have I had a trick or treater come to my door. However, I never let that fact keep me from buying chocolate candy to give out.

  20. Ah ha! how could I not enter a give away for these delightful creations! Especially since my birthday is the 28th!
Although I have fun memories of Halloween as a child, my favorite was when my youngest daughter was old enough to go trick or treating. We lived in North Pole, Alaska at the time. The best place to take the kidlets trick or treating was on the Army post. So we would bundle the kids up in snowsuits as most years the temps were below zero, and so even though they wore costumes over their suits they all looked liked marshmallow babies. Amanda was escorted by her foster sister to each door, and every time she got candy she would run back to the van shouting, "Mom! Dad! They gave me candy! I can't believe they gave me candy!" We had more fun watching her surprise and delight.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway!

  22. ah Halloween, no other holiday holds a place so close to my heart...as a little girl, as soon as the calendar said October, I would dress up in my favorite costume, hand-sewn by my Mom..a simple long black dress and peaked hat. I would creep around outside and play witch!
